Slack
Send workspace notifications to a Slack channel when important events happen in Pana — for example, when a new lead is captured.
What you get
- Automatic Slack messages when Pana creates in-app notifications (lead captured, assignments, and other workspace alerts).
- Rich lead details for new captures — name, email, company, event, interest level, and notes.
- One channel per workspace — you choose where messages go when you connect.
- One connection per workspace — workspace admins connect Slack once for the whole team.
Slack is not a CRM sync. It does not import contacts from Slack or sync leads both ways. It posts notification messages to a channel your team picks at connect time.
Before you start
- A Slack workspace where you can install apps.
- Permission to install apps in that Slack workspace (ask your Slack admin if needed).
- Workspace admin access in Pana.
Connect Slack
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find Slack (search “Slack” if you do not see it).
- Click Connect.
- In Slack, choose your workspace and pick the channel where notifications should be posted.
- Click Allow to approve access.
- Return to Pana when authorization completes.
After a successful connect, the integration card shows:
- Default Channel — the Slack channel you chose
- Connected At — when the connection was made
If no channel appears on the card, disconnect and connect again, and make sure you select a channel on Slack’s install screen.
What triggers Slack notifications?
When Slack is connected, Pana sends a message to your chosen channel alongside in-app notifications.
| Event | What appears in Slack |
|---|---|
| New lead captured | Lead details (name, email, company, event, interest level, notes) with a link to open the lead in Pana |
| Other workspace alerts | Title, short description, and link back to Pana |
:::tip Private channels
If you chose a private channel, invite the Pana app to that channel in Slack (channel menu → Integrations → add the app, or /invite the bot).
:::
Change the notification channel
Disconnect Slack under Settings → Integrations, then connect again and pick a different channel in Slack.
Disconnect
Turn off the toggle on the Slack card. New notifications stop posting to Slack. Messages already sent in Slack are not removed.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| Cannot install the app | Ask a Slack workspace admin to approve the install, or choose a public channel you are allowed to post to. |
| Connected but no channel shown | Disconnect and reconnect; select a channel when Slack asks during install. |
| Connected but no messages in Slack | Confirm the Pana app is in the target channel (especially for private channels). Capture a test lead or trigger a notification in Pana. |
| Authorization error in Slack | Try connecting again from Settings → Integrations. If it keeps failing, contact your Pana administrator. |
